Press notification
Yesterday, I sent out notification of the walk to newspapers in Waynesboro, Lexington, Harrisonburg, Front Royal, Winchester and Woodstock. I intended to offer them a "local color" story. The fund-raising would benefit from the publicity as well.
Mr. Woodson of the Lexington paper says he hasn't the staff to cover events outside Rockbridge, but would publish an announcement in a "Weekender" section, if I submitted one. The Waynesboro News-Virginian said a reporter would get in touch with me about the story. No answers from the others yet.
